Hypower Heavy Current Maintenance (PTY) Ltd was established late 2002 by the amalgamation of three companies (Multilayer, Unitrade, Xtrelec) which had been operating extensively for some time in the Cape region. The said companies had been working as a loose affiliation for some years and the move is seen as one of ratifying an existing condition.
Additionally it has been recognised that opportunity should be taken at the same time to address the affirmative action stance of the companies. Hypower is a 51% Black Woman Owned company. |

| |
| |
The previous companies had difficulty in carrying the costs of recruiting, training and sourcing workload and as small companies obtaining access to government funds to address training needs especially was restricted. The new company will allow an improved use of all resources and access to company funding. This will mean advantages to the end customer in respect of availability, skill pool, insurance cover etc.
Our employees will benefit from the new company as the increased employee pool allows greater freedom in releasing employees for training.
The previous individual companies have to date enjoyed an enviable reputation for skills and ability serving mainly repeat customers such as Eskom, Municipalities, Saldanha Steel, South African Nylon Spinners. |
